Att fylla år har alltid gett mig en känsla av att allt stannar upp. Man befinner sig i jordens mitt, den som allting kretsar kring. Det är exakt samma känsla som jag hade när mamma dog. Då var det som om klotet slutade snurra alldeles tvärt och i samma stund började jag flyta tyngdlös genom Stockholm och jag hörde inget och trodde att alla andra var lika påverkade som jag. Men alla andra gick stadigt på marken och tittade inte ens upp på mig, där jag kryssade planlöst över himlen i tron att jag aldrig skulle komma ner igen.
Hon är vanlig, osynlig, utan titel. Hon kör med pastellfärger och stängd dörr, trotts att pappas önskan om att hon ska ha sotade ögon och skrika KUKEN! åt honom, för då hade han kanske kunnat förstå. Han är den som avgrundsgråter. Hon är den som tänker att det finns olika sätt att göra uppror på.
Hon hänger hemma hos Angèle och tillsammans har de en bakblogg. Att fylla plåt efter plåt med kardemummabullar är också ett sätt att gråta.
Hon kastar sig om halsen på brorsan de få gånger han kommer hem och hälsar på. Men han har börjat försvinna. Han är nykär och pluggar långt, långt bort. Hon måste svälja intensivt för att inte gråta när han går.
Hon skiter i pappa med det är svårt. Han tar bara över med sina berättelser från förr om mamma, om hur det var då. Om lungcancer och döden.
Hon tjuvröker i tyst protest på sitt hemliga ställe i parken. Bara där infinner sig lugnet. Men en dag saknas en cigg i det väl undangömda paketet. Någon vet. Någon har sett.
